You’ve never run for a political office but get talked into running for Governor of Ohio. No other Democrat wants the job because they think Trump is too tough to beat. He won Ohio by something like 8 points in 2024. The GOP has controlled the state house since 2011.
Then Trump tanks and the Ohio GOP nominates a guy most of the base would like to see deported and the state economy is crap with a huge backlash against data centers. Progressives and other Democrats are winning in other states against Trump so the National Dems ride into Ohio to help Dr. Acton since the state party still refuses to help her.
Dr. Acton inexplicably embraces the Chuck Schumer school of centrist politics that is at once tone deaf and still won’t get pissed off Republicans to vote for you.
